Seeking a property accountant to maintain accurate books and records for a portfolio of multi-family properties. Ensures compliance with all accounting rules, policies and procedures. Completed month-end ina an accurate and timely manner. - Completes month end closing entries including A/P ledgers, A/R ledgers, tenant rosters - Performs monthly financial review, analyzes and explains variances in financial results (budget/forecast-to-actual and month-to-month) - Assists in the preparation and review of property budgets - Sets up newly acquired properties in Yardi - Understands the functionality of Yardi ledgers for A/R, A/P, tenant records - Verifies accuracy of Yardi system calculations - Records property tax accruals and/or amortization of prepaid property taxes; and trues up expense accruals and the liability or prepaid account - Understands and can independently apply fixed asset capitalization policy - Troubleshoots fixed asset issues - Reconciles bank accounts - Assists peers and Property Managers with troubleshooting issues in Yardi - Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree required from four-year college or university - Minimum of 2 years experience - Proficient in Yardi Property Management, MS Excel, MS Word - Able to complete work accurately and on time - Comfortable following established procedures - Detail-oriented and able to multitask - Communicates effectively and efficiently
